Bathroom Restorations
Old bathroom had 36" shower base and no window. Wall tile straight from the 1970's was white with gold flecks; floor tile was black and gold set on particle board and a rotten sub-floor.

Custom inlaid wood of maple, walnut and cherry on birch wood. Finished with spar varnish.

 


New bathroom has 60" whirlpool jetted tub, handmade inlaid front panel on tub of mahogany, maple burl and aspen on birch to match toilet seat. The 12" tiled floor was installed over a new sub-floor of 3/4 exterior plywood and Hardibacker.

 


New vanity counter uses the floor tile for the surface and the same shower decorative tile for the back splash.

 

Windows added for light and to meet building standard code standards. Tile is 6" hand cast Italian with a 2" diamond shape decorative border.

 

 


Country bathroom with beadboard vanity, beadboard wainscoting, and "outhouse" chair rail border.



Old shower had rotted plain old drywall and old plumbing. New shower is tiled on cementious backer board and has new, anti-scald plumbing.

Victorian bath/ shower with 1904 claw foot tub.
